A Day at The Creative Haven
As participants arrive each morning at The Creative Haven at Haven Acres Farm, they are welcomed into a warm, inviting environment where every individual is known, valued, and encouraged to succeed. The day begins with conversation, friendship, and a sense of belonging. Participants gather together to review the day's activities, celebrate accomplishments, and prepare for meaningful experiences that build confidence, independence, and lifelong skills. Throughout the day, participants choose from a variety of engaging activities designed around their interests and abilities. Some may prepare healthy meals in the teaching kitchen, create artwork, work in the gardens, participate in music, develop vocational skills, or enjoy educational and recreational activities that promote personal growth. Every activity is intentionally designed to help participants continue learning while developing confidence, friendships, and independence in a supportive environment. At The Creative Haven, success is measured not only by the skills participants gain, but by the friendships they build, the confidence they discover, and the opportunities they create for themselves and others.
