Our Mission
To empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing opportunities to create, connect, learn, work, and grow through meaningful educational, vocational, creative, agricultural, and life-enrichment experiences.
Our Story
Every parent wants their child to have a place where they belong — somewhere they're known, supported, and given room to grow. For adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, that place can be hard to find once school ends. We started The Creative Haven so that search could end here, in Fayette County, Texas on a farm built for exactly that purpose.
For adults with IDD, the end of school often means the end of structure, purpose, and community. Days that were once full become empty. Friendships fade. Skills go unused.
The Creative Haven was founded to change that — to create a place where growth continues throughout adulthood. On a farm in Flatonia, in a setting built for learning, work, creativity, and connection.

Adulthood should not mark the end of opportunities to create, connect, learn, and grow.
